Clextral developed for one of its customers a complete turnkey production unit, including dosings, the raw material transformation/product elaboration part using the twin screw extrusion technology, cutting and drying of the granules.
This new biodegradable film is used notably for solutions in the field of packaging or for the mulching of cultures in order to respond to the problem of waste pick-up and waste treatment cost : after 100 days, the film disappears, in fact, completely. The degradation and assimilation rate can be adjusted by modifying the mixture's composition.
The biodegradable compound made by twin screw extrusion from raw materials such as corn can also be transformed by injection or thermoformed.
